We will be hosting Susan Chambers; State Chair of Prevent Child Abuse (PCA-NJ) the State Project for 2016 – 2018.  We have several long term projects coming up:

Purple Hats – Knitting hats for infants in any shade of purple to be donated to area hospitals.

Baby Registry – https://www.toysrus.com/registry/link/index.jsp?overrideStore=trus@registrynumber=58731347    Items are being collected for children of teenage mothers who are part of the Essex County Parenting Program.

Children’s Books – PCA-NJ is collecting books for its Grow NJ Kids Program.   Books will be given to pre-school, daycare owners and educators.  We are looking to reach a goal of 100 books by January 5, 2017.  Classic board books and books for children 5 and under.

Each TMC member is asked to bring one baby clothing item , e.g. a onesie, diapers, bibs etc…to kick off our Preventing Child Abuse Project.
