In order to fully appreciate any community, it requires that we know something about the people who not only presently live there, but also those who preceded them and helped to make it the place it is now. Who were they? Where did they come from? What did they accomplish during their lives?

The purpose of this program by Dr. Douglas W. Simon, Trustee of the Madison Historical Society and editor of its newsletter, is to take us on an exploration of notable Madison citizens from a variety of fields including the military, entertainment, sports, government, commerce, education, medicine, and nursing, reaching from the American Revolution to the present day.
