Get Involved!

The Thursday Morning Club is proud to be of service to our community as well as supporting a variety of local and international causes. We also have many programs, events, workshops and opportunities for our members’ enjoyment. Explore the many opportunities to get involved.

Arts

A combination of both creative and performing arts, we sponsor interesting events such as concerts, plays, dinners, trips, garden tours and workshops.

Conservation

Our conservation efforts work toward maintaining the Madison Community House for the community and the organizations that use it.

Education

TMC hosts socials and other events to raise money to provide scholarship opportunities to deserving high school students.

Home Life

Our members strive to help the community in any way they can, including candy sales, eyeglass collections, knitting projects and more.

International Outreach

The events we sponsor and participate in help both at home and abroad. TMC is proud to participate and work with charities around the globe.

Public Issues

Our Public Issues focus varies from year to year. Explore our Special State Project information and our Events page to see what we’re currently involved in.

Special State Project

Every two years, members of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs of GFWC (NJSFWC) support a Special State Project through fundraising, in-kind donations and public awareness campaigns. Through May 2016, the National Alliance on Mental Health Illness (NAMI) NJ is the Special State Project. NAMI NJ is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to helping families and individuals affected by mental illness. The TMC currently has two projects to support NAMI.

Chocolate Bar Sale

The proceeds from our Chocolate Bar Sale help to raise funds for NAMI NJ and to raise awareness for veterans suffering from PTSD.

Backpack Project

Full sized backpacks filled with items from NAMI’s list are given to local hospitals for discharged patients who are referred to a shelter that houses those with mental health issues.
