Get Involved!

The Thursday Morning Club is proud to be of service to our community as well as supporting a variety of local and international causes. We also have many programs, events, workshops and opportunities for our members’ enjoyment. We have several ways to get involved within our group.

Our club has many events that are fundraising based. These events support the operation of our own Madison Community House. We have a monthly general meeting with a program attached to it and sometimes lunch is included. We also have a book club that meets monthly. We have our Wise Wonderful Women Lecture Series which is held quarterly. Yearly we have our Bazar de Noel, Welcome Back Luncheon, Sherry, Spring Luncheon and our Scholarship Social. We also play Bunco and MahJongg several times during the month. We have craft based workshops to learn something new. Pop-Up Events, organized just for fun, can also happen on short notice.

Special State Project

Every two years, members of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs of GFWC (NJSFWC) support a Special State Project through fundraising, in-kind donations and public awareness campaigns. Through May 2018, we are involved in the Prevent Child Abuse NJ project, so look for our Pinwheels in Madison. To learn more about the Prevent Child Abuse NJ project, visit their website:

Past Special State Projects

We’ve helped organizations like Boatsie’s Boxes and the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) for past state special projects. You may continue to help these organizations by donating suggested items from NAMI’s Backpack List or by visiting these websites:
