TMC will be having their first Wise Wonderful Women of our club year. Join us for an entertaining program and delicious lunch being prepared by our own Catering Dept.

Our presenter, Helen Raymaker holds music and business degrees from Northwestern University. She is accompanist for the Harmonium Choral Society, and has served as accompanist at Drew University and Light Opera of New Jersey. She loves playing live classical music for toddlers at the Madison Library and maintains a vibrant teaching studio in Madison.

Scott Joplin is known world over as the composer of the most famous rag of all time, the Maple Leaf. He also composed over 50 other works for piano, opera, ballet and song. This new lecture/demonstration will include excerpts from Joplin’s works, placed in the context of his life during the first generation after slavery ended.
